Heshani Abeysundara, MD
Abeysundara earned her MD from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC) in St Marteen and completed her residency at Talahassee Memorial Healthcare. Her comprehensive training included ambulatory medicine across all age groups, prenatal care, heavy in-patient pediatrics and obstetrics and medicine training. Prior to that, she received her BS with First Class Honors in Cell Biology from the University of Alberta, Canada.
Prior to joining Lassen, Dr. Abeysundara served as a Harvey tutor, teaching students about heart sounds and murmurs. She was also an Anatomy teaching assistant, guiding students in dissections and mock exams.
Abeysundara enjoys playing badminton, traveling, hiking and meditation.
